There were three Subscriber shares (in the hands of the representatives of Barratt) which had all the voting rights, and one share (initially without voting rights) was issued to the leaseholder of each of the properties.  In 1989  Barratt transferred the freehold of Minster Court to Minster Court Management (Liverpool) Company Limited, and control of Minster Court Management ( Liverpool ) to Regent, who became Managing Agents. The freehold of the gate lodge was transferred to Regent.

 

In 2002, after many years of struggle by the Residents’ Association to remove Regent,  the Subscriber Shares were transferred to Dr Henry Gibson , Chair of the Residents Association and the other shares acquired their voting rights. At the AGM on 23rd January 2003 eleven directors were elected by the leaseholders, and took charge of  the management from 1 April 2003. The freehold of the Gate Lodge was acquired by Minster Court Management ( Liverpool ) in November 2003; Regent no longer has any role on the sit,.approximatiely a year later a  leaseholder  who resides in Minster Court Mr  John Degg  was elected to Manage Minster Court.
